Kay Coleman, Partner

Kay Coleman

Kay Coleman is an FCB partner who helps executives and teams understand what it takes to align their strategies, processes, systems, and culture to achieve sustainable improvements in business results. Having worked with Jim Champy and Michael Hammer in the early days of reengineering, Kay pioneered the use of innovative tools and approaches for implementing big change fast. To this day, Kay believes that the key to success has remained the same:  a critical mass of employees at all levels needs to understand why change is necessary and be engaged in making it happen.

Kay has worked with clients in organizations ranging from the Fortune 50 to entrepreneurial startups and in a variety of industries. She combines her professional experience and graduate education in business (Wharton) and counseling (Tennessee) to advise and coach senior executives on leading major change.

While most of her adult life was spent in Boston and the Northeast corridor, Kay felt the warm winds from southern California calling her to San Diego where she now has little need for umbrellas or coats. She devotes much of her free time to raising money for cancer research, programs, and services.

“The transformational journey is not easy or for the faint-hearted, but it doesn’t have to keep you up at night. With guidance and support, leaders can anticipate and overcome the challenges that lie ahead."
